INDICATIONS:
1. Main indications:
    Short term relief of moderate to severe pains.

2. Can be used for the relief of post-surgical pains as follows:
  General surgery, orthopedic surgery, gynecological surgery, dental surgery, etc.

3. Children aged 2 and over:
    Severe postoperative pains when opioid analgesics are contraindicated.

 

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:

1. Adult
The recommended initial dose of Ketorolac tormethamine IM/IV is 10mg followed by 10-30mg every 4-6 hours as maintenance dose, but minimum effective dose is recommended. The duration of treatment should not be longer than 2 days. Daily dose should not exceed 90mg for non elderly and 60mg for elderly, renal impaired patients and patients with body weight less than 50kg. Ketorolac tomethamine should not be used for epidural or spinal administration

Dose or administration intervals can be adjusted according to severity of the symptoms and pain.

Morphine and its derivatives can be used concomitantly if necessary.

2. Children aged 2 or over
Ketorolac tromethamine injection should be administered postoperatively to children as single IV injection. This can be followed by several I.V. bolus injections if necessary. Administration of Ketorolac by I.V. injection is recommended in children as I.M. injections if necessary. Administration of Ketorolac by I.V. injection is recommended in children as I.M. injection may be followed by 0.5mg/kg I.V. every 6 hours if necessary. The total duration of treatment must not exceed 2 days in children.

Dose or administration intervals can be adjusted according to the severity of the symtoms and pain.
